Mindfulness in Schools Project (MiSP) in Cloverhill

We first piloted this mindfulness programme in Cloverhillin November and have delivered it to several groups since. The Sanctuary in Dublin is a registered training centre.

It consists of set classes, consisting of student notes, slide shows, video clips and guided practices. This means that each lesson builds on the previous one. It is designed to be delivered as a course rather than as drop in Mindfulness sessions.

We adapted it to the prison context to meet the unique needs of our students. The material is all compatible with the prison computer system. We received positive feedback from the students and teachers and other professionals.

It was a great success and the students noted how they were practicing the exercises on their own.
